Cot Woman sewing There is something that causes me more satisfaction than seeing the progress of Bible translation that work in the United Bible Societies (UBS). This video of a tour of our colleagues shows the church life of the Kuna people in Panama for which we are translating the Bible. There our Bible translators are trained pastors in the areas of "Biblical Science".

57,000 Kuna live in the San Blas Archipelago consists of 365 beautiful Caribbean islands covered with palm trees and spectacular beauty. Their villages retain a fascinating culture and way of life.

The Kuna women's clothes are beautiful, they call him "molas". The Kuna keep many traditions that are attractive to students.
Not only are distinguished in all America for their organization, but also for his lifestyle, crafts and historical customs.

Not long ago the CBS program "Survivor" has selected a San Blas Island and held at that place a party of "reward" to the competitors of the series "Survivor."

There, far from modern civilization and close to nature the word of God is studied in churches and household groups. A team of six led by a young Kuna Wycliffe missionary work daily in the translation of the Old Testament to this community. This is a joint project of SBU and this organization. In 1992 the New Testament was published in Kuna (Border) and in 1996 the New Testament in San Blas Kuna.

This video from a visit to the Kuna community in Panama shows you how the church is alive. To reach the remote area inhabited by the new Director of the Bible Society of Panama, Marco Gomez and colleagues traveled by boat. The joy of the brothers in the churches is obvious.
